The 34-year-old inmate was working at an orchard outside the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center when he walked off without permission before noon on Thursday, Nov. 30, Daily Voice reported.

Hagenkotter was serving a "minimum sentence" for theft and burglary at the Riverside Correctional Facility before his escape, authorities have said.

His release was originally scheduled for Thursday, the day of his break-out, but was pushed back to April 2024 due to a retail theft incident out of Bucks County, officials have said.

Marshals now say the 34-year-old was last spotted 10 minutes after his escape at 11:55 a.m., near Hegerman Street and Blakiston Street in Holmesburg.

Hagenkotter is 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a dagger on his right forearm, authorities said. His last known address was on the 7700 block of Cottage Street — just blocks away from PICC where he escaped custody.

“While we are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending Hagenkotter, we are also warning that anyone assisting him in his flight will be prosecuted to the fullest extent,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Philadelphia office.

Marshals and the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers are offering a combined $2,000 reward for information that leads to his capture. Call USMS at 1-866-865-8477 or visit www.usmarshals.gov.
